Healthcare innovation is a hot topic among policy makers, researchers and professionals, attracted to the longstanding public debate by high expectations of the potential benefits. Putting innovation into practice, however, is often more complex than expected, and the results are sometimes even disappointing. This book delivers in-depth insights into healthcare innovation processes, based on the lessons learned in five case studies of innovation practices.
